Our Story

Welcome to the heart of YiewFit. This is where we share who we are, why we started, and what we stand for. YiewFit was born from a simple realisation: wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it isn’t just about how many calories you burn or the number on a scale. If you’re tired of pushing yourself to the brink – over-exercising, under-eating, and feeling emotionally drained. Traditional fitness programs rarely addressed the emotional well-being of women. Determined to change that, YiewFit was created in 2021 as a sanctuary where mental and emotional health are as important as physical fitness.

Our Mission – Emotional Clarity through Sustainable Wellness

At YiewFit, our mission is to guide women toward “emotionally sustainable wellness.” What does that mean? In simple terms, it’s a form of wellness that nourishes you instead of depleting you. We reject the notion that you have to suffer, starve, or punish yourself to be “fit.” Instead, we focus on helping you build healthy habits that feel good and can last a lifetime. We want you to wake up with a clear mind and a strong body, ready to take on your day with confidence and calm.

Our promise of an “emotional clarity transformation” is at the core of this mission. When you engage with YiewFit – be it through our programs, blog, or community – our aim is that you gain clarity of mind, alignment with your emotions, and a deeper understanding of yourself. This clarity might show up as the confidence to set boundaries, the courage to pursue a goal you’ve been afraid of, or simply the peace of knowing you’re taking care of yourself in a balanced way. Fitness fads often focus narrowly on appearance, but our mission is to help you feel as good as you look – to have a clear head, a happy heart, and a body that’s thriving.

Our Values – Clarity, Strength, Intuition

The YiewFit values are lived and breathed in every workout we design, every article we write, and every interaction in our community.

Here’s what each value means to us and how it shapes your experience:

Clarity:

We value clarity in both vision and emotion. Practically, this means we encourage you to clarify your why – why you want to get healthier, what motivates you and we help you maintain clear intentions. Emotionally, clarity is about understanding your feelings rather than being ruled by them. Many women come to us feeling overwhelmed or stuck; through practices like mindfulness and journaling, we help you gain clarity on what you’re feeling and why. When you can name and understand your emotions, you can navigate challenges with a calmer, clearer head. We also operate with clarity as a business: we strive to be transparent about what our programs offer and the science behind them. No smoke and mirrors, no miracle promises – just clear, honest guidance.

Strength:

Strength at YiewFit is two-fold – physical strength and inner strength. Yes, you will build physical strength here (maybe without even realizing it at first, as you consistently walk further or carry groceries with more ease). But equally important is the inner strength – the resilience and confidence – that grows when you commit to caring for yourself. We believe strength is found in vulnerability as much as in toughness. For one woman, strength might mean holding a plank for a minute longer; for another, it might mean having the strength to rest when her body needs it or to share openly in a group chat about a hard day. We celebrate all these forms of strength. Our training philosophy emphasizes functional strength (to support daily life movements) and emotional strength (like stress management techniques and positive self-talk). By combining those, we aim to make you strong from the inside out.

Intuition:

Intuition is perhaps the value dearest to our hearts because it’s what turns wellness from a chore into a truly personal journey. We champion intuitive movement and eating, which means learning to trust your body’s signals. As an empowering, emotionally intuitive brand, we guide you to break away from strict rules (“I must run 5 miles or it doesn’t count”) and instead ask, “What does my body need today?” This value shows up in how we structure our programs: there’s flexibility and options. If one day your intuition says you’re exhausted, it’s okay to swap a high-intensity workout for a gentle stretch or a rest – that’s honoring your body. Intuition also means we respect that each person is the expert on themselves. We provide structure and knowledge (backed by science and experience), but we encourage you to tweak and customize to fit your life. By cultivating intuition, you’ll develop a kinder relationship with your body. For example, intuitive movement approaches reframe exercise as a way to nourish yourself and find joy, not just a means to burn calories. This approach has been shown to increase consistency and pleasure in fitness, because you’re doing what you enjoy and need, rather than what you think you “should” do.

“I joined YiewFit after having my second baby, feeling completely out of tune with myself. Through the program, I not only lost the baby weight, but I found me again. The emphasis on emotional well-being was a game changer – I’ve never felt so heard and supported on a fitness journey.” – Anamaria N., YiewFit member
