YiewFit offers two core programs designed to meet you wherever you are on your wellness journey. Both programs share a common foundation – a blend of movement, nutrition, and emotional well-being – but each has a unique structure to suit different needs. Whether you’re seeking a complete mind-body reset with guided support, or a flexible self-guided plan to build healthy habits, we have you covered. In the sections below, you’ll find an in-depth look at our two flagship programs: RESET and FOUNDATIONS. We’ll break down what each program entails, who it’s ideal for, and the transformative benefits you can expect. Each description also includes calls to action so you know how to take the next step when you’re ready.
FOUNDATIONS – 4-Week Self-Paced Wellness Foundations
What is FOUNDATIONS?
FOUNDATIONS is a self-paced introduction to the YiewFit way of life. In four weeks (or longer if you choose, since it’s flexible), you’ll learn and practice the fundamental habits that create a healthy lifestyle. Think of it as laying down a strong base – the “foundations” – upon which you can build greater fitness or weight loss goals later, or simply maintain as a daily routine. This program is lighter in structure than RESET; you won’t have live check-ins or a set weekly schedule handed down. Instead, you’ll receive a clear guideline of activities and goals that you can adapt to your schedule. It’s perfect for those who prefer to go at their own pace or want to “try out” the YiewFit approach before committing to a longer program.
Key Components of FOUNDATIONS:
-
Daily Walking Habit: In FOUNDATIONS, walking is your superpower. We challenge you to incorporate a walk every single day for 30 days. It could be 10 minutes around your block or an hour on a beautiful trail – whatever fits your level. The point is consistency. You’ll have a calendar to track your walks and note how you feel afterwards. Why walking daily? It’s one of the simplest yet most effective things you can do for your health. Studies confirm that regular walking improves mood, reduces stress, and even boosts creativity. By making it a daily ritual, you also establish time for yourself each day. Many women use this time to listen to a podcast, enjoy nature, or simply breathe – it becomes a moving meditation that anchors their day.
-
Breathwork & Posture: Each week of FOUNDATIONS introduces one new breathing or stretching exercise to accompany your walk. For example, in Week 1, we teach a basic deep breathing technique to practice before or after your walk. In Week 2, we add a posture check – a short routine of shoulder rolls and chest-opening stretches (since many of us hunch over phones or desks, this is important!). These exercises are quick (5-10 minutes) but impactful: deep breathing can improve your stress response, and good posture & stretching help prevent aches, making walking more comfortable.
-
Food Rhythm & Hydration: Unlike a detailed meal plan, FOUNDATIONS encourages you to create a healthy food rhythm – essentially, a consistent eating schedule that suits your life, with emphasis on whole foods. In Week 1, we ask you to simply observe and journal your current eating pattern and how you feel (e.g., “Skipped breakfast, felt sluggish by 11am” or “Late heavy dinner, had trouble sleeping”). In Week 2, we provide gentle guidance: aim to have a nourishing breakfast within an hour of waking (to kickstart metabolism), a balanced lunch, and an earlier dinner (say by 7pm) if possible. This aligns with the concept of circadian eating – eating more during daylight and less late at night, which research suggests is better for weight management and hormonal balance. We also focus on hydration: giving you a target (like 8 glasses a day) and tips to achieve it (infusing water with fruit, setting reminders). By week 4, you’ll have experimented with meal timing and hopefully found a rhythm where you have steady energy all day. (Of course, flexibility is key – life happens, but having a baseline routine helps your body know what to expect.)
-
Daily Rituals & Reflection: FOUNDATIONS encourages a few daily rituals to ground your mornings and evenings. For instance, we suggest a morning ritual of “WAKE: Walk, Affirmation, Kindness, Exhale” – you Wake up and do a short Walk or stretch, read or recite an Affirmation (we provide a list to choose from, like “I treat myself with kindness and patience”), do one act of Kindness (this could be self-kindness or doing something nice for someone), and then take a mindful Exhale (a brief breathing or mindfulness moment to set intention for the day). This WAKE ritual can be done in 10-15 minutes and starts your day with positivity. In the evening, a sample night ritual might be journaling one thing you’re grateful for and doing 5 minutes of deep breathing to wind down. These rituals are small but powerful – they bookend your day with mindful self-care. Participants often find these practices improve their sleep and overall mood (for example, gratitude journaling has been linked to better mental health and reduced stress).
-
Self-Paced Flexibility: We provide a structured guidebook for FOUNDATIONS, but you can spread the 4 “weeks” across a longer period if needed. If life gets busy, you can repeat a week or pause and resume. The key is to complete all modules in order, since each builds on the previous. There’s no guilt or “falling behind” here – the only goal is to integrate these foundations in a sustainable way for you. Some participants do it in 4 consecutive weeks; others take 6-8 weeks because they like to spend extra time mastering a habit. It’s all good!
Who is FOUNDATIONS for?
Who is FOUNDATIONS for?
FOUNDATIONS is perfect for beginners or anyone feeling overwhelmed about where to start. If you haven’t exercised in a long time, or ever, this program will meet you gently. It’s also great for women coming back from an illness or injury (with doctor’s clearance to do light activity), since walking and gentle exercises are generally safe and adjustable. Perhaps you’re someone who already does gym workouts but lacks consistency or structure in daily life – FOUNDATIONS can help you build that daily consistency and fill in gaps (like getting those steps in or fixing erratic eating times). We’ve also had participants use FOUNDATIONS as a “reset-lite” after a particularly chaotic time (e.g., after the holidays or a stressful project) to regain routine and control. If you’re self-motivated and just need a plan to follow, or if your schedule is too unpredictable to commit to live sessions, this self-paced route is ideal.
Expected Outcomes:
By the end of FOUNDATIONS, in just a month or so, you can expect:
-
Enhanced Mood & Less Stress: Daily walking and the introduction of breathing exercises often lead to feeling calmer and happier. You might notice you handle daily stresses better – maybe that commute or toddler tantrum doesn’t frazzle you as much, because you have your walking “therapy” and breathing tricks to recalibrate.
-
Initial Fitness Improvements: Even though this isn’t an intense exercise program, walking daily can improve your cardiovascular fitness. Climbing stairs or running errands might feel easier. You may also notice subtle toning, especially in your legs, just from the regular movement.
-
Better Daily Energy: Many report more consistent energy throughout the day. By avoiding big late-night meals and staying hydrated, you prevent the energy rollercoaster. Plus, morning movement and sunlight (if you walk outside) can help regulate your circadian rhythm, making you feel more alert in the mornings and sleepier at night – a healthy pattern.
-
Confidence to Progress: Perhaps most importantly, graduates of FOUNDATIONS often say it gave them the confidence to try more – whether it’s moving on to our RESET program, joining the gym for strength classes, or simply increasing their daily walk time. By mastering the basics, you prove to yourself that you can stick to a routine. That confidence is gold. We often hear, “FOUNDATIONS was exactly what I needed to finally get going. Now I actually call myself an active person, which I never did before!”
Begin Your Foundations: If you’re nodding along thinking “Yes, I need to get back to basics,” then FOUNDATIONS is calling your name. The beauty is you can start anytime since it’s self-paced.
